UFC 160: Velasquez vs Bigfoot 2 Live Odds

UFC 160: Velasquez vs Bigfoot 2 was a mixed martial arts event held on May 25, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The main event was a rematch between current UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva. In their first encounter at UFC 146 a year earlier, Velasquez defeated Silva via first round TKO.

UFC 160: "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2" blew the roof off the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, last night featuring a main event of Cain Velasquez absolutely decimating Antonio Silva in basically the same manner he did the first time the two fought.

In the main event, UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez defended successfully his title against Antonio Silva. In the co-main event, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos defeated Mark Hunt in a heavyweight contest.

Alistair Overeem was expected to face Junior dos Santos at the event. However, in early March, Overeem pulled out of the bout citing a leg injury. It was initially announced that the bout would be rescheduled for a future event, later in the summer of this year.

Cain Velasquez vs Antonio Silva:

Round 1: Mario Yamasaki is the referee for tonight’s heavyweight title fight, with judges Lester Griffin, Junichiro Kamijo and Chris Lee scoring the bout. Velasquez paws with a pair of jabs and quickly shoots on Silva’s left leg. Silva steps out of it and covers up with a high guard as Velasquez swings a right hand up top.

The challenger shuts down another takedown try and swings a wide right hook, which Velasquez ducks under to land a shot to the body. A right straight cracks Silva’s chin and “Bigfoot” drops to his knees, trying to grab a double-leg.

Velasquez stuffs the head and moves to north-south, then loops his left arm around the kneeling Silva’s waist and unloads with 10 or 12 right hands before ref Yamasaki intervenes. Cain Velasquez retains his UFC heavyweight title via TKO at 1:21 of round one.
