UFC 138: Leben vs. Muñoz Odds

UFC 138 will be headlined by a middleweight battle between Chris 'The Crippler' Leben and Mark 'Filipino Wrecking Machine' Munoz. The card will take place at Birmingham England's LG Arena.

The matchup pits striker vs. ground fighter with Leben (who owns 14 career knockouts) and Munoz (an NCAA Division I national wrestling champion). In recent fights, though, Munoz has become much more comfortable on his feet.

To date, the UFC has hosted just one show in Birmingham. UFC 89, which took place at National Indoor Arena in October 2008, drew 9,515 attendees and featured a headliner between Michael Bisping and Leben. The tape-delayed Spike TV broadcast peaked with 3.4 million viewers and averaged 2.6 million.

Leben is coming off a brutal 27 second knockout victory over Wanderlei Silva at UFC 132, while Munoz will enter the cage on a three-fight winning streak, with victories over C.B. Dollaway, Aaron Simpson and most recently Demian Maia.

The Leben versus Munoz bout will be the first UFC non-title main event scheduled for five rounds.

Munoz had the following to say about the upcoming event, "Chris Leben is a great fighter. I’ve got a lot of respect for him. He’s got a powerful left hand and he comes forward the whole time."

Munoz (11-2) has won his last three fights in a row. He most recently defeated Demian Maia at UFC 131 in June.

Leben (26-7) has won four of his last five fights, most recently knocking out Wanderlei Silva at UFC 132 earlier this month.
