UFC 118: Edgar vs. Penn II

Broadcast: Pay-per-view and Spike TV

Bet UFC 118 Odds Today

Also, set for the main card is a light heavyweight showdown between former boxing champion James Toney and UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture. Couture is coming off back-to-back victories over Brandon Vera and Mark Coleman, while Toney will be making his UFC debut to the Octagon on Saturday, August 28.

Frankie Edgar vs BJ Penn

BJ Penn isn’t wasting any time getting back in shape for his April title defense against Frankie Edgar. He’s already back in Hilo training with Marv Marinovich.

On the other hand UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar wants to hear from the Doubting fans when he beats BJ Penn for a second time at this UFC 118. "The Answer" took the division's top spot by bringing home the unanimous decision win after a close five round battle with the Hawaiian at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi. Can Edgar keep the lightweight belt at the Jersey Shore? Or will "The Prodigy" reclaim what many believe is rightfully his?

Also, Two-time number one lightweight contender Kenny Florian will indeed collide with Gray Maynard (9-0) at UFC 118.

Kenny Florian vs Gray Maynard

Both Kenny Florian and Gray Maynard have transformed from stellar prospects from the TUF reality series, into superb contenders and potential title holders at 155. Florian’s transformation has certainly been well noted by many, as he changed from being a newcomer to the sport with limited striking and wrestling experience, into a fighter who has had 2 title shots, and become an incredibly well rounded fighter who has improved immensely over the course of the last 5 years.

Maynard has also added some great striking to his already solid base of wrestling. His intense competitive drive and excellent camp of Xtreme Couture out of Las Vegas, has allowed him to realize much of his potential. Maynard has successfully parlayed his NCAA Division I Michigan State wrestling background into positive results inside the Octagon. With wins over Nate Diaz, Roger Huerta, Jim Miller and already has a win over title holder Frankie Edgar. A win over Kenny Florian would put Maynard right there in being the number one challenger for the coveted lightweight gold.

There is no point spread in a money line; it simply shows the amount of money to be won based on the amount of the wager. In general, the negative line is for the favorite and the positive for the underdog. As in other sports, you must bet more to win less and bet less to win more.

With a UCF Moneyline bet, All bets on MMA events are considered official from the time of the first bell. If the betting line is three-way, you have a choice of betting on either contender or on a draw. In the over/under line for UFC betting rounds, you are betting on whether the UFC fight will end before or after the end of a specific round. Rounds are usually timed for three & five minutes. There are usually three rounds in UFC Matchups. However, title fights are scheduled for five rounds.

The Ultimate Fighting Championships began in 1993. It redefined what martial arts was all about. It set in motion, the battleground for the karate community, where fighters from all backgrounds could come together and test their art, mano o mano, man vs man against the best, all trained in different arts. Set aside was the facade, the smoke screens and the mystique behind each art and now naked before you was the basic street fighter! More UFC Fighting History
