UFC 57: LIDDELL KO'S COUTURE!

As Couture landed a right cross to Liddell’s head, the crowd came alive when “The Iceman” landed two hard lefts to his opponent. It was then that Randy Couture, seizing the moment, slammed Liddell to the mat much to the enjoyment of the sold out Mandalay Bay Event Center. But, in typical Chuck Liddell fashion, he rose to his feet right away and pressed Couture to the fence. Blood poured from the left eye of “The Natural” as the round ended apparently from a punch earlier in the round. As round two began, the two men initiated their mutual display of respect once again. Randy Couture, still stalking to get to the champion, chanced a lunging left hook that Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell countered perfectly blasting his opponent with a devastating left hook. Couture dropped to the floor immediately and Liddell pounced to finish the job with hard pounding punches at 1:28 of the second round. With this victory, “The Iceman” Chuck Liddell defends his title successfully for the second time.
