UFC 62 Gambling Odds - Bet UFC Liddell vs. Sobral Odds

UFC 62: Liddell vs. Sobral, an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event scheduled for August 26, 2006 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, will be broadcast live on pay-per-view in the United States and Canada.

Honestly, i know some people don't seem to think sobral is going to stand a chance and that this will not be a good fight. Actually sobral has very good chances to beat liddell, If Babalu wants to win this fight with chuck, Babalu would try and take it to the ground, but Chuck on the other hand would try and match Babalu strike for strike, I do believe this will be a awesome rematch to watch. Liddell did make a prediction for his future fight against Wanderlei, "I have to get past Renato 'Babalu' Sobral and I think Babalu will be a tougher fight than Wanderlei. But don't get me wrong, I think I'm going to knock Babalu out again.

It appears the much anticipated mixed martial arts bout between rival champions Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva scheduled for November might be off.

"I don't even know if Silva's going to happen," Dana White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, told
The Canadian Press in an interview.

White cited problems in dealing with the Japan-based Pride Fighting Championships that is home to Silva.

The Liddell-Silva match up, if it takes place, will be truly a historic event and might finally push mixed martial arts into the mainstream of ESPN and others. The Liddell-Silva bout would be considered a blockbuster match up, finally bringing the rival UFC and Pride organizations together. Liddell (18-3-0) is the current UFC light-heavyweight champion at 205 pounds. While the Iceman has been out of commission recently with a toe injury, he remains the face of mixed martial arts in North America for many.

Renato Sobral has had years to prepare for this rematch only to be let down a second time when Liddell caught him with a
flurry of punches early in the first round. Referee stoppage early in the first round due to the fact that Sobral could not defend himself. Sobral was so disoriented that he actually tried going after McCarthy as he’s trying to help him up.
