Bet Quinton Jackson Vs Forrest Griffin Fight Lines

UFC 86 promises to be an entertaining night. The main event will be Quinton “Rampage” Jackson defending his Light Heavyweight Title against Forrest Griffin. The two are currently coaching the Ultimate Fighter 7.

Rampage is the heavy favorite to defend his title. Odds are currently set at Rampage as a -260 favorite, with Forrest coming in as a +200 underdog. Griffin earned a shot at the title by defeating Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (16-3) at
UFC 76: Knockout in September. Jackson has only fought once, against Dan Henderson, since winning the title from Chuck Liddell in May of 2007.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will take on Justin McCully at UFC 86 on July 5 in Las Vegas. Frank Mir (11-3-0) last stepped into the cage at
UFC 81 defeating Brock Lesnar by submission in the first round.

Mir is riding high after a come-from-behind victory over Brock Lesnar in February. McCully, meanwhile, will return from injuries and fight in the octagon for the first time since his successful UFC debut nearly a year ago.

Mir, a former UFC heavyweight champion, earned co-main-event status during his UFC 81 fight with former NCAA Division I wrestling champion and WWE performer Lesnar. On the verge of suffering a TKO early in the fight, Mir got a break when Lesnar was deducted a point for blows to the back of the head. Lesnar continued to deliver brutal strikes,
but Mir survived to slap on a fight-ending kneebar just 90 seconds into the fight.

Mir, who suffered a devastating motorcycle accident in 2004, picked up his second straight victory and his third win in his past four fights.

McCully (8-3-2) has not fought since April of last year, due to an injury that forced him off a scheduled bout at
UFC 77. McCully’s last win came at UFC Fight Night 9 where he defeated Antoni Hardonk by unanimous decision.

With his victory over Antoni Hardonk a year ago, McCully, a member of Tito Ortiz's Team Punishment, is now 3-0 since returning to MMA after a three-year break from the sport. He has a four-fight win streak and has won five of his past six fights overall.

Joe “Daddy” Stevenson will take on Gleison Tibau at UFC 86, July 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Stevenson, who fell to
B.J. Penn at UFC 80 in January, will look to create fireworks when he faces American Top Team product Gleison Tibau in Las Vegas on July 5.

UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard (21-7-2 MMA, 4-3 UFC), who briefly left the organization after back-to-back first-round submission losses, will return to the UFC to fight Dennis Siver (11-5 MMA, 1-2 UFC) at UFC 86.

lightweight Melvin Guillard (21-7-2) is returning to the UFC - a bit sooner than expected - to take on Germany’s Dennis Siver (11-5) at UFC 86 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“The Young Assassin” Guillard was granted a temporary release from the UFC, which he detailed in a colorful diatribe right here, after he lost to hated rival Rich Clementi via submission (rear naked choke) at
UFC 79: “Nemesis” back in December 2007.

It was the second straight defeat for the Louisianna native and the first since returning from a nine-month drug suspension (cocaine) after his loss to Joe Stevenson at UFC Fight Night 9 in April 2007.

Guillard got back to his winning ways after taking a unanimous decision win over Eric Regan at Rage in the Cage last month. Apparently that victory was sufficient enough for him to rejoin the ranks of the lightweight division.

Dennis Siver. Despite being outpointed by Gray Maynard back at Fight Night 12 and having an overall record of 1-2 in the UFC, Siver hasn’t been knocked out in sixteen fights (Guillard’s strength) and more than
half of his wins have come by submission (Guillard’s weakness).

UFC 86 Results

Forrest Griffin Defeats Rampage Jackson by Decision in Upset: Coming into this fight, everyone (including the bookies) agreed that the light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson should win his bout against Forrest Griffin in UFC 86. However, the one thing that Griffin has consistently shown since making it to the UFC has been heart.

The guy can take a beating like the best of them, but yet his never-say-die attitude doesn’t seem to dim out. Coming into UFC 86, the challenger Forrest Griffin was a huge +215 betting odds underdog against the seasoned favorite Rampage Jackson -275.

Griffin was able to take advantage of his height and reach, by jabbing and kicking Jackson, keeping him at bait. The fight went the distance in what turned out to be an exhilarating five round unanimous decision in favor of Griffin.
