On July 30, 2011, Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson will go off live from the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman States, Illinois.

Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Dan Henderson is all set to pack on an extra pound and move up a division to battle famed Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko at this Saturday's Showtime event on July 30 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

The main event between former PRIDE champions Fedor Emelianenko and Dan Henderson will be fought at a catch weight of 220 pounds. After getting bounced from the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix, Fedor will look to see if a smaller opponent is more to his liking.

There was initially some discussion that the fight would take place at a catchweight, but Henderson said he never concerned himself with fighting his heavyweight foe anywhere but his natural division.

Henderson, the current 205-pound champion, often walks around at exactly that weight. The only reason to put a weight limit on the fight would be for Fedor's consideration. The often chunky Russian superstar has weighed in at 229 and 230-pounds, respectively, for his last two fights.

Emelianenko (31-3) was bounced from the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament earlier this year after the cageside doctor deemed him unfit to answer the bell for round three of his quarterfinal bout against Antonio Silva.
